According to police on Wednesday, November 5, at 10:25 pm, a male entered the Subway Store, 936 East Main St. and demanded money from the employees. The male suspect left the store with the cash box.
The suspect fled in a north-easterly direction, with a relative of the store owner in pursuit of him. The cash box was dropped during the chase and the suspect then ran south across East Main St. The cash box was recovered. A police K9 was used with negative results. No money was stolen as a result of the robbery.
The suspect is described as male/ white, 30 yrs. 6’0″-6’2″, 200 lbs. wearing a white scarf/ mask over his face, white jacket and blue jeans. Possibly wearing a white hat.
