On Sunday October 26th 2014 shortly after 1:00 a.m., Emergency Crews were called to an address on Vine Street South in The City of St. Catharines for a large fight occurring at a private residence.
Upon arrival, police say officers located a male victim suffering a serious head injury sustained during the course of the fight. The victim was transported to the Niagara Health System – St.Catharines Site where he was treated for his injuries and subsequently released.
Detectives with the One District Detective Office have been able to determine that a large house party was taking place when a group of individuals and the victim became involved in an altercation during which time the victim was injured.

As a result of further investigation by Detectives with the One District Detective Office, a suspect was identified. On Monday October 27th 2014 with the assistance of the 3 District, Welland Uniform Patrol Branch, 21 year old Sean Tracy was taken into custody at his residence in Pelham without incident.
Tracy is charged with One (1) Count of Assault with a Weapon as well as One (1) Count of Failing to Comply with a Probation Order contrary to The Criminal Code of Canada.
Tracy will be appearing at the Robery S.K. Welch Courthouse located at 59 Church Street in The City of St.Catharines on Tuesday October 28th 2014 for a Bail Hearing.
