Other safety tips for riders says Rankin are common sense: “always wear a helmet, drive defensively, obey road signs, check the weather and never drink and drive. As for those motorists in cars it means being conscious of motorcyclists as they share the roadways once again.”
Gear Check
MotorClothes Manager Martha Primerano says besides the bike itself, a critical component of bike safety this season is also to be sure your gear is in good shape. “Make sure those helmets, gloves, boots, pants, etc. are free of defects. Remember they are your first line of protection against the elements so make them a high priority.”
Tip: The best protective gear will always be your own brain. Use it, and ride safe.
If you’re looking to replace some gear/clothes this season, or just add to what you’ve got, it’s a great time to do so says Marketing Manager Lisa Tache because it’s the 115th anniversary of Harley-Davidson this year and that means some cool new additions to the regular Harley-Davidson lineup!
